About the Role
As a Commercial Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating Kpler's growth trajectory across France and Switzerland. Operating within our Mid-market EMEA Sales division, you will drive pipeline generation and spearhead territory expansion by delivering high-value market intelligence solutions to physical commodities clients. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and our legal entities, your work will directly fuel our commercial expansion and empower industry leaders with transparent, actionable trade data.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Territory Growth: Proactively manage and expand the France and Switzerland territory to consistently meet or exceed annual pipeline generation and revenue targets.
Cultivate High-Value Pipeline: Identify, qualify, and develop new commercial opportunities across physical energy and commodities markets with a proactive "hunter" mindset.
Lead Commercial Strategy & Discussions: Support pricing and commercial terms structure, collaborating with internal legal and contracting entities to streamline deal execution.
Deliver Strategic Market Insights: Gather frontline client feedback and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy, demand planning, and multi-year forecasting.
Maintain CRM & Forecasting Integrity: Keep Salesforce meticulously updated with key client interactions, pipeline metrics, and accurate updates to ensure reliable business forecasting.
Champion the Kpler Brand: Act as a credible brand ambassador at industry events and client meetings, conveying Kpler’s value proposition with professionalism and technical authority.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with Sales Operations, Customer Success, Marketing, and Business Units to ensure seamless customer onboarding and long-term business success.
Experience & Background
What you'll need (Must-haves):

Proven Commercial Experience: 5+ years of experience in a sales, account management, or commercial development role within technology, SaaS, data vendors, or commodity markets.

Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and French is required to effectively engage our core client base across France and Switzerland.

Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of energy markets, trade dynamics, and broader commodity trends.

Proactive Mindset: Self-motivated, disciplined hunter mentality with a track record of thriving in fast-paced, dynamic, and unstructured environments.

Familiarity with the maritime industry or physical commodities trading ecosystem.

Experience utilizing modern sales engagement tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
