About the Role 

The Incentives Marketing Operations Manager will support the planning, execution, and analysis of a variety of consumer incentive programs across Instacart Marketing. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D (Growth Systems), Finance, Marketing Analytics, Data Science, MS&P, Consumer Marketing, Product Operations, and others to jointly shape these programs and drive business impact.  

The ideal candidate should have the ability to manage multiple projects end-to-end, ensuring all initiatives are meticulously tracked and timelines are adhered to. This role will require keen attention to detail as you will be responsible for managing a diverse slate of incentive campaigns, ensuring they stay on-track and are executed flawlessly. They should have a crisp, clear communication style and be comfortable sharing out high-level learnings and best practices.  Additionally, the candidate should excel in a fast-paced environment, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results.

About the Team 

The Incentives Marketing team is a newly formed pillar in our marketing organization and will drive a centralized vision for promotional incentives across Instacart marketing. This includes consumer-facing promotions that extend both in-app and across marketing channels (e.g. CRM, outbound paid media) for key seasonal moments, strategic initiatives, partnerships, and more. 

About the Job 

  • Set up and monitor a variety of incentive campaigns and promo codes that drive business impact (e.g. revenue, customer acquisition)
  • QA campaigns when they go live; troubleshoot and drive campaign issues to resolution in partnership with Engineering teams as-needed
  • Maintain our annual incentives calendar, including tracking campaign dates, milestones, etc.
  • Document and maintain the team’s test and learn roadmap
  • Pull campaign reports in Mode, analyze data, and share performance insights (e.g. sales, coupon usage rate, etc)  internally and with key partners
  • Pull budget actuals and monitor spend levels 
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics and Data Science to size incentive campaigns (e.g. expected spend, revenue, etc)
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics and Data Science to update team dashboards as-needed
  • Maintain a repository of campaign learnings, case studies, FAQs, and other relevant documentation
  • Collaborate with BD MS&P and Product Ops teams on selling and training materials, keeping them apprised of incentive marketing plans, dates, offers, etc. 
  • Serve as subject matter expert on our in-house coupon tools and systems

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in marketing operations, program/project management, general marketing, promotions/incentives, or similar role
  • Project Management Skills: Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to plan and execute across a range of projects with overlapping timelines.
  • Data Analysis: Capable of understanding and interpreting data to help inform business decisions and track campaign performance.
  • Relationship Skills: Builds strong, productive relationships with cross-functional partners and works collaboratively to achieve common goals.
  • Action-Oriented: Demonstrates a bias for action and a “doer” mentality, proactively addressing challenges and opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with coupons and/or incentives or e-Commerce. 
  • Familiarity with SQL and or Mode, or other visualization tools. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
