Location: Ireland ( Remote)
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and extend our Kubernetes platform
- Improve Performance & Reliability of our production platform
- Ensure proper observability of the production systems
- Assist with database and service performance tuning
- Collaborate with Development Engineers on impacts of new features
- Identify architecture bottlenecks and work with Engineering on new solutions
- Collaborate with Support on operational runbooks
Required Skills:
- 2+ years Kubernetes (GKE)
- 2+ years on a cloud platform (GCP, OCI, AWS), multi-cloud experience preferred
- 4+ years of Linux experience
- 1+ years of Programming in Go, Python or other major language
- Experienced writing shell scripts
- Experienced using Git version control system
Preferred Skills:
- IaC and GitOps processes (Terraform, FluxCD)
- Helm and Kustomize
- CI/CD Tools (FluxCD, GitlabCI, Jenkins)
- Monitoring Tools (e.g. Datadog, Prometheus)
- Container lifecycle
- Database optimization
- Network level troubleshooting
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience preferred
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
