Job Description
We are hiring a Senior Python Developer to lead the development and maintenance of our customers core platform. You’ll work with some exceptional engineers to build breakthrough features for the end user while keeping the platform stable and scalable.

You will own the full engineering lifecycle of important capabilities within the our customers platform, including designing, prototyping, building and maintaining scalable and performant distributed systems
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Owning the full engineering lifecycle of important capabilities within the customers platform, including designing, prototyping, building and maintaining scalable and performant distributed systems.
- Collaborating with (i) the machine learning teams to incorporate our ML assets into the core platform, and (ii) our front-end teams to ensure that we deliver powerful abstractions to our client platforms.
- Engaging with colleagues across the organisation to understand requirements and ensure that our technology meets those requirements in practice.
- Hiring new engineers and mentoring other engineers in the team.
Qualifications
Fluent level of English.
7+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer.
5+ years hands-on software engineering on large scale, high performance, data oriented systems.
Highly proficient designing and building substantial, distributed systems in Python and/or Node.js from scratch.
Python (general automation, ETL pipelines, modelling)
SQL
Experience working with transforming data, converting Excel "models" into Python
Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills.
Desirable
- Ability to navigate ambiguous/underspecified problems and think abstractly.
