Description

The Business Intelligence Supervisor/Lead will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers. This position will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, maintenance and optimization of the organization’s data warehouse and analytics platforms.

What does a day in the life of a Reporting Analyst Lead/BI Supervisor look like?

Collaborate with business leaders to understand their analytical needs and create a clear Business Intelligence strategy and roadmap

Ensure data quality and integrity by establishing data governance policies and procedures

Work closely with Business Intelligence Developers to design and implement efficient processes that ensure the accuracy and reliability of data in the Business Intelligence ecosystem

Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations

Ensure the BI solutions are aligned with business requirements and adhere to best practices

Monitor and optimize the performance of BI queries and reports to ensure timely and efficient data delivery

Lead and mentor a team of Business Intelligence Developers providing guidance, support and fostering a collaborative environment

Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team

Establish clear goals and expectations, and ensure the team's deliverables are of high quality and aligned with business needs

Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting

Ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy through data profiling, cleansing, and validation processes

Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and industry best practices

Define data access controls and permissions, ensuring appropriate data security and confidentiality

Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement data protection measures and monitor data access activities

Collaborate with other departments to gather requirements and align data analysis efforts with business objectives

Communicate complex concepts and findings in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences

Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence and analytics

Adheres to company policies and procedures

Meets or exceeds performance targets for related KPI’s

Continuously improves knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules

Maintains a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times

Performs other duties as assigned

What are the required qualifications of a Reporting Analyst Lead/BI Supervisor?

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field preferred

At least 3 years experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role, preferably in the call center environment

At least 1 year supervisor or lead role experience

Above average communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and extract meaningful insights

Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.

Solid understanding of SQL and database management

Experience with statistical analysis and modeling techniques is a plus

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity

Proficient in using computers and various software applications
