Who we seek:
We’re looking for a Revenue & Billing Specialist for our Revenue team, reporting to the Director of Revenue. Our Revenue team, currently based in the United States, is looking to establish a presence in India. As a Revenue & Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for completing monthly billing tasks, ensuring contracts are entered correctly in NetSuite, month-end revenue recognition, and collections. Our ideal candidate is someone who has hands-on revenue recognition and billing experience and can communicate effectively and keep up with deadlines.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure timely and accurate billing for customers
- Perform reviews of contracts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of billing
- Enter and manage multiyear billing subscriptions
- Contact customers to resolve payment issues and report accounts receivable status updates to the management team
- Provide support in investigating and resolving ay client billing issues promptly, including submitting, processing, and communicating associated credit memos
- Assist with month-end tasks as needed including but not limited to AR reconciliation, deferred revenue reconciliation, and revenue recognition
- Perform monthly revenue recognition analysis
- Partner with PS Ops team to recognize professional services revenue according to US GAAP
- Perform monthly billing reconciliation to check for completeness and accuracy
- Review existing process for areas to make improvements in accuracy and efficiency
- Provide financial audit support as required
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree (BCom, BBA, or BSc) in Finance or Accounting
- Experience working within a SaaS environment
- Experience in working in a shared service, corporate, operational, fast-growing environment
- Strong knowledge and use of basic accounting principles, practices, procedures, and internal controls with emphasis on accounts receivable and ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Ability to communicate both internally and externally with individuals at all levels of an organization, including senior leadership
- Skilled in Excel, Google suites, and NetSuite experience a plus
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting; flexible, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with a can-do attitude
