We strive to deeply understand our customers’ needs, and our users’ workflows, to solve their problems in simple and novel ways.
This is a leadership role for someone who is equally energized by building and expanding C-suite relationships across the world's largest pharmaceutical organizations, growing and nurturing a team of Account Managers, building and executing repeatable sales processes, and partnering cross-functionally with Product and Marketing to position H1 as the platform of choice for global pharma leaders.
The RVP of Strategic Sales will report to H1's SVP, Sales.
- Own and grow a defined portfolio of H1's top 20 strategic pharma accounts — driving net-new revenue, deep expansion, and multi-year, multi-million-dollar deal structures across business units and geographies.
- Build and execute a structured account strategy for each strategic account, partnering with Marketing and BDR leadership to identify whitespace and generate pipeline within and across the strategic segment.
- Orchestrate a rigorous renewal management process for high-value contracts ($1M+ deals, $2M+ total account value), ensuring multi-threaded executive relationships and early-stage Executive Business Reviews well ahead of contract end dates.
- Partner with Customer Success to monitor customer health signals, escalate and support at-risk accounts proactively, and maintain a clear view of gross and net revenue retention across the strategic portfolio.
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles — including executive alignment, commercial structuring, and legal negotiation — to close and expand transformational partnerships.
- Represent H1 at industry events, executive roundtables, and strategic customer meetings to deepen H1's brand and credibility at the highest levels of the pharma market.
- Partner with Product to surface insights from strategic accounts and influence roadmap priorities based on the needs and signals of H1's most important customers.
- Support Revenue Operations with forecasting, territory planning, and strategic account analytics, maintaining the highest standard of CRM hygiene and pipeline visibility.
- Deep familiarity with the pharma/life sciences industry — you understand how large pharma organizations are structured, how they buy at the highest levels, and what keeps C-suite, commercial, medical affairs, and R&D leaders up at night.
- Experience leading sales teams selling data, SaaS, or intelligence platforms into life sciences at a strategic/named account level is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of building and scaling strategic sales teams and consistently delivering against ambitious revenue targets with $5M+ account value portfolios, including strong gross and net revenue retention performance.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex renewal cycles, enterprise-wide expansion motions, and multi-year contract structures within the world's largest pharmaceutical organizations.
- Exceptional executive presence — you operate natively at the C-suite level, are comfortable being onsite with customers, and can represent H1 with credibility, authority, and strategic vision.
- A builder's mindset: you're energized by creating structure, developing elite talent, and refining the strategic sales motion — not just executing it.
- Excellent forecasting discipline and experience driving strong CRM hygiene and operational rigor across a high-performance team.
- East or Central time zone preferred. Ability to travel as needed to support strategic customer accounts, executive relationships, and key sales opportunities across the team's assigned accounts.
