Sales Support Coordinator Job Description
The Sales Support Coordinator works within the sales organization, supporting the inbound sales queue volume as a part of our Inbound Response Team within the Protection Division. This team is responsible for supporting various business channels on both life and annuity products. This support includes taking in-bound sales calls and making outbound sales calls to financial advisors to assist them in understanding our life insurance and annuity solutions for their customers. The outlined support this team provides assists in the overall sales production achieved within individual territories, channels, and the division as a whole.
This is an entry-level role within the sales organization providing support services to sales territories focused on increasing wholesaler activity, sales production, and the wholesaler’s ability to devote more time to client and case development. This position requires an individual that is a self-starter, strong attention to detail, professional communication skills, hard work ethic, and a competitive drive to succeed.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Answer sales calls on a daily basis with new and existing representatives to strengthen relationships and find selling opportunities. This includes sales campaigns, new business opportunities, and other calls as directed.
- Pass qualified leads along to External Wholesalers/Internal Wholesalers in the territory from which the call originated.
- Clearly convey and uphold Protective’s mission and value proposition to advisors.
- Efficiently fulfill advisor requests for product illustrations and marketing materials with accuracy.
- Serve as a product expert, providing comprehensive education on product features and benefits.
- Maintain and document advisor profile information and sales activities using Protective databases.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and individual check-ins to track performance.
Qualifications & Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- A Bachelor’s degree or relevant sales/industry experience is preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Highly adaptable and flexible to accommodate business needs.
- Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.

- Must acquire Series 6, Series 63, and Life licenses within 12 months of start date.
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
