Senior Product Operations Manager II, Planning & Analysis

About the Role:

The Technical Product Operations team at Cruise applies human intelligence to some of the toughest problems at Cruise. 

We provide AI/ML Data Products & Services critical for: 

  • ML model development, training & testing

  • AV performance testing, monitoring & diagnosis, and 

  • HD map creation, maintenance & routability.  

We have a large, globally distributed workforce and are integral to Cruise’s technology development.  

In this role you’ll be supporting the team at-large (across all Data Product verticals), primarily focused on Operations Analysis & Operations Enablement. 

What you’ll be doing:

Performance analysis & performance management - driving continuous improvement. 

  • Working with product category and production leads to define KPIs and metrics to measure product performance, cost, quality, and efficiency

  • Working with support teams to drive metrication via tooling feature enhancements and data pipeline creation/maintenance

  • Building dashboards to provide continuous performance monitoring & reporting

  • Digging into key issues with in-depth analysis to prioritize improvement projects across the teams

  • Supporting budget planning & execution (Annual Budget Plan, Monthly LE, Special Project Business Cases, etc.)

Managing and enabling vendor/partner performance.

  • Conducting Market analysis to continually optimize our vendor mix for price, performance, and scalability - including benchmarking, RFI/RFP management, etc.

  • Managing user/group role definitions, access maps, and issue resolution to maintain user access rights and high levels of uptime across a broad user network

  • Supporting Contracting and Budget Execution (MSA, SOW, Purchase Orders, Invoice Reconciliation, etc.)

  • Leading special projects (e.g., new partner on-boarding, transitions, etc.)

  • Driving monthly and quarterly governance mechanisms (QBRs, MBRs) with all partners to drive performance and continuous improvement

  • Defining process & tooling requirements for end-to-end production management and product fulfillment; interfacing with engineering teams to drive roadmap priorities and new feature deployments

What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, data analytics, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in operations analysis, management consulting, supply chain management, or related field

  • Very strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases

  • Experience building data pipelines and delivering robust data analysis

  • Experience with process re/design for efficiency and quality improvement

  • Experience working with Partners/Vendors in an integrated production or services context

  • Program/project management proficiency

  • High-level of proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets

  • Flexibility, and a willingness to handle ambiguity

Bonus Points:

  • Basic Python capabilities

  • Prior experience in Autonomous Vehicles, ML Operations, or similar

  • Prior experience working with HITL workflows for data enrichment

The salary range for this position is $126,000 - $185,300. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
