Spotify is seeking a Senior Revenue Operations Analyst to support global Order-to-Cash operations and revenue close processes in a hybrid role based in New York City. The candidate will partner across Finance, Engineering, and Sales teams to strengthen revenue processes, manage e-invoicing, and maintain financial controls in accordance with IFRS and SOX.

What you need
- 4+ years of experience in revenue accounting, revenue operations, general ledger accounting, public accounting, or related areas
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of the full Order-to-Cash lifecycle and core accounting concepts including accruals, deferrals, multi-entity or multi-currency accounting, and month-end close
- Experience executing or troubleshooting e-invoicing workflows in a global, multi-entity environment
- Comfort with ERP and billing systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or comparable platforms
- Strong Excel and analytical skills; experience with SQL, BigQuery, or data visualization tools is valuable

- Maintain strong financial controls and support SOX, ITGC, and internal and external audit requirements
- Identify operational bottlenecks and partner with IT and Financial Engineering to design, test, and implement system enhancements, automated workflows, and controls

We are looking for a Senior Revenue Operations Analyst to support Spotify’s global Order-to-Cash operations and revenue close process. You’ll work at the intersection of accounting and operations, helping ensure accurate financial reporting while building processes and systems that can scale with our business.
In this role, you’ll partner across Finance, Engineering, Tax, Sales, and other teams to solve complex operational challenges, strengthen our revenue processes, and support Spotify’s continued growth.
What You'll Do
Support the monthly and quarterly revenue close, including journal entries, revenue accruals, deferrals, and manual adjustments in accordance with IFRS
Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations across statutory books and consolidated ledgers, and analyze month-end movements across revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and related accounts
Manage global e-invoicing operations across subsidiaries, partnering with Tax to understand local requirements and resolve invoice delivery, data, and validation issues
Support day-to-day global Order-to-Cash operations, including manual billing and accounts receivable activities
Maintain strong financial controls and support SOX, ITGC, and internal and external audit requirements
Identify operational bottlenecks and partner with IT and Financial Engineering to design, test, and implement system enhancements, automated workflows, and controls
Collaborate with Legal, Sales, Sales Operations, FP&A, Tax, Technical Accounting, and other partners on revenue policies, programs, and strategic initiatives
Mentor and support accounting team members and external vendor partners, while contributing to operational metrics, integrations, and special projects
Who You Are
You have 4+ years of experience across revenue accounting, revenue operations, general ledger accounting, public accounting, or a related area, along with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
You have a strong understanding of the full Order-to-Cash lifecycle and core accounting concepts, including accruals, deferrals, multi-entity or multi-currency accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
You have experience executing or troubleshooting e-invoicing workflows in a global, multi-entity environment
You are comfortable working with ERP and billing systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or comparable platforms
You have strong Excel and analytical skills and are comfortable working with large, complex datasets; experience with SQL, BigQuery, or data visualization tools is valuable
You have experience working in a SOX-controlled environment and collaborating with internal or external auditors
You communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams and can organize competing priorities during deadline-driven close periods
You have experience working in a global technology, digital advertising, media, podcasting, or entertainment environment
You have a CPA/CA qualification or progress toward one is a plus

This role is based in New York City
We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
We ask that you come into the office 2–3 days per week.

The United States base range for this position is $86,046–$122,923, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six-month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, paid flexible holidays, and paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
