What You’ll Do:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Administrator to join our team and take responsibility for managing and maintaining our Linux-based systems. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Linux operating systems, strong problem-solving skills, Network stack (routers and switches) and a proven track record in administering complex, mission-critical infrastructure.
- Manage and maintain a diverse range of Linux servers and systems, ensuring their availability, performance, and security
- Manage and maintain Juniper routers and switches
- Design, implement, and maintain system configurations, including server hardware, storage solutions, and network infrastructure
- Monitor system and network performance, conduct regular system audits, and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Perform system software and application installations, upgrades, and patches
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies
- Implement security best practices, including access controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Work closely with other IT teams to plan and execute system-related projects and ensure seamless integration with other technologies
- Collaborate with development teams to provide infrastructure support for application deployment and debugging
- Ensure data backup and recovery procedures are in place and regularly tested
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements to the existing infrastructure
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support and incident response
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Linux Administrator, with 5+ years in a senior level role
- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Bash, Python, with a strong focus on automation
- Solid understanding of network protocols, firewall configuration, and security best practices Experience with virtualization technologies and containerization
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS and GCP
- Expertise in monitoring tools
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, Linux+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is an advantage
